"Offline mode was a lifesaver on my commute"
I’ve been using this on my commute, and the offline mode actually works well, which was a nice surprise. I’m not the only one who gets stuck with spotty service on the train, right? The only thing is that syncing can be a bit slow once I’m back online, but overall it’s been really helpful

"I’ve been using this app on and..."
I’ve been using this app on and off, usually when I have a few minutes before bed or while waiting for coffee, and it’s been good so far. There are lots of languages to choose from, which is nice, but I mostly checked out Korean and Japanese. Both were easy to find and get started with, so no complaints from me.

"Decent app, but the audio can feel frustrating"
I’ve been using LingoDeer for a bit, and overall it’s decent, but the audio is kind of hit or miss for me. Some of the voices are clear enough, but others sound muffled or way too fast, which makes it hard to follow. Sometimes I feel a little trapped replaying the same clip over and over just to figure out what was said. It works, but the audio definitely isn’t consistently great.

"Really solid lessons without the fluff"
I’ve been using Lingodeer for a while now, and what I like most is how much depth the lessons have. It’s not just tossing random words at you, which feels unnecessary in a lot of language apps. The grammar explanations are clear enough that I can actually understand what’s going on.
Some lessons do take a little longer to get through, but I don’t really mind. It feels like I’m actually learning the language instead of just tapping through and guessing the answers

"I had a problem with my account..."
I had a problem with my account and, thankfully, support got back to me quickly. I was already a bit annoyed going into it, but they explained everything in plain language and fixed it without sending me around in circles. Would’ve preferred not to need help in the first place, obviously, but they handled it well

"It’s fine, but I’m not sure it’s sticking"
I tried LingoDeer for a few weeks and at first I thought it was decent. The lessons are clear and easy to follow, but after a while I realized I was mostly just tapping through the answers without really… I don’t know, actually using the language. When I try to make my own sentences outside the app, I kind of freeze. So it’s not bad or anything, and I can see why people might like it, but for me it just hasn’t helped much with remembering or speaking in a real way

"Progress tracking ain't perfect"
I like using it overall, but the progress stats don't always feel accurate. It isn't no huge dealbreaker, but sometimes the numbers just seem a little off from what I expected.

"Super beginner-friendly and easy to keep using"
I started using lingodeer with pretty much zero knowledge, and it didn’t feel intimidating at all. The lessons are short, clear, and easy to follow, which makes it simple to fit in a little practice whenever I have time. I also really like that it explains grammar instead of just throwing random vocabulary at me. I’m still early on, but so far it’s been easy to stay consistent, and I can definitely see myself continuing to use it.

"I actually liked the short lessons when..."
I actually liked the short lessons when I first started using the app. They were easy to fit into my day, and I thought it was useful at first. But after a while, the app started feeling slow and buggy, and some of the explanations were more confusing than helpful. I also wasn’t thrilled that the terms seemed to change after I had already signed up, which made the paid plan feel even less worth it. Support eventually got back to me, but it took longer than I expected. Overall, it’s not awful, but I ended up feeling disappointed.

"Easy lessons that feel worth the price"
I’ve been using this app for a bit and I like that the lessons are short but still really easy to follow. The grammar notes actually make things click for me, and it doesn’t feel like they’re rushing through everything. Some sections do repeat a little, but that helps me remember it better. I’m careful about what I spend on apps, and this one feels like a good value if you want to learn little by little

"Pretty good for the price"
I was kind of in a rush when I bought this, so I didn’t overthink it, but it’s been worth it. It’s cheap for what you get, and I end up using it most days.

"Canceling was really more annoying than I expected"
I used LingoDeer for a few months it was fine. It helped a bit, but after a while I just didn’t really need it anymore.

Canceling my plan took longer than I expected. I had to poke around in the settings for a while, and it really wasn’t obvious where to actually stop the subscription. I did manage to cancel it in the end, so it wasn’t a huge deal.

I’d probably give it 3 stars. The app itself is okay, but the cancellation process could really be a lot simpler.

"Good lessons, but the tech issues are a lot"
I actually like the lessons when everything is working. They’re clear and useful, and I do feel like I’m learning. But the app and website have been unreliable for me. Some days I get randomly logged out, the audio takes forever to load, and my progress doesn’t always sync between my phone and browser.
The most frustrating part is when it crashes right after I finish an exercise. Like, come on now, I just did all that work and then I have to redo it? Support did get back to me, which I appreciated, but the fixes didn’t really last. I’d probably enjoy it a lot more if the tech side was smoother

"Speaking practice just really helped me"
I mostly use LingoDeer for speaking practice, it’s been helpful. The listen-and-repeat exercises are simple, but they just make me feel less nervous about saying sentences out loud. Some of the recordings feel a little fast sometimes, but overall, I really like using it.

"I usually rely on little mental shortcuts to..."
I usually rely on little mental shortcuts to remember grammar rules, and their notes made that super easy. The explanations were simple enough that I didn’t have to overthink it, things just started making sense.
